Keep in mind these are "FTC guides" and they are not an actual law. You're not going to go to jail for blogging about your toothpaste or anything like that ;) I understand wanting to clean up the internet, but every time I hear the president on television talk about wanting to make it a controlled environment and a level playing field... all I can think about is the future turning into a very scary place to be. I now disclose on every single post on my review blog, so I don't have to deal with the FTC on something I bought and paid for with my own money. I think they will never be able to enforce this, and I have great fear for the blogger who the government decides to make an example of. With that all being said, this is a tool for the FTC to use to get rid of the fake blogs. You know, the ones proclaiming Acai berries helped them or this teeth whitening product make their teeth instantly white.
