Yes, you read that right. Lynn said it’s time to start the new year off fresh and clean up. Okay, so it wasn’t a direct challenge to me personally, but a challenge to all of the SSWT Elite Members.
Every month Lynn presents a challenge to the group, and we work together and keep each other accountable throughout the month. It’s a lot of fun, and it helps us get things done to grow our business and be successful all at the same time.
As part of the January SSWT Elite Members challenge Lynn has challenged us to clean up both our virtual workspace (our computers) and our physical work space (our desks) …. somehow over the holidays my desk turned into this disaster area you see below.

If you click on it and go to the flickr page I added notes pointing out what all those things on my desk are -lol-
Wow, I’ve got a lot of work to do. Fortunately, my virtual workspace is much cleaner. Since being reduced to one computer when my laptop died I’ve been very vigilant about keeping my virtual desktop clutter free and organized. I can’t have this computer dying on me before I can get a new one in March. I guess that means I’m technically half way done with the challenge, yay!
Why am I posting pictures of my ridiculously messy desk? Because I want to challenge you to clean up your virtual and physical workspace too! It will give you a truly fresh start in the new year.

P.S. You are welcome to join us in the SSWT Elite Forum. <– click there. We have a brainstorming hour every week and loads of help and accountability within the private group. We’d love to have you!

I so TOTALLY need to do this also.

So glad to know I’m not alone with the piles and the crud that doesn’t belong on my desk! LOL I’m sad to say that my mess extends to this whole room…I’m working on it, though! Lynn has perfect timing!!

Yes, Lynn’s timing is fantastic. Although my desk was cleaned because we had company for the holidays (and it’s in the living room) my husband’s side of our desk is a PIT. I’m still trying to figure out how to get his side clean ~and my side is getting increasingly messy as the days go on. It will be nice to figure out a way to keep it clean regularly! Good luck and I look forward to seeing your progress!!

Good Luck Lynn
The advantage of keeping a spartan-looking home office is that I rarely need to clean or order it. Whenever it begins to get messy I feel anxious so I’ve learned to order it immediately.
