What’s Stopping You From Publishing Your Own Info Products?

I wanted to bring this up, because I know it is something that I personally struggled with over the past two years as I’ve expanded my business. So, I’m sure that there are many others out there struggling with the same issues when it comes to creating products. I had started creating things in the past, in fact they’re probably still lingering on my hard drive someplace collecting virtual dust. But, I had never seen an info product through to completion until recently.

I’ve had free cross stitch patterns available for several years on my cross stitch site. I only recently started adding a few that are for sale. Why? Because I didn’t think that I was good enough or deserving enough to charge money for my creations. It took a couple people slapping me in the head and telling me to stop being so ridiculous to realize that the only thing holding me back from doing it was me. I was standing in my own way. (I suddenly hear Nicole Dean’s voice in the back of my mind saying, “Get out of your own way!” Thank you, Nicole, I appreciate your honesty as always!)

Attending NAMS back in August also helped to get out of my own way. In a workshop with Lynn Terry and Jeff Herring we took an article we had already written and turned it into a short report. It was easy! I had already written the content, it had been on my site for ages, I just repurposed it into a short report.

What I didn’t expect was what would happen after I got home and that report had been online, and that was the great response from readers. Regular visitors who had not yet come across that article hiding in my archives were thankful and appreciative of that short report. I’m still getting great feedback on that one tiny thing that I put out there into the world, and it was just a tiny little 5 page thing.

Doing that one tiny little thing gave me the confidence and the motivation to move onto doing something bigger. I realized that I had things to say and there were people who are willing to listen. I had information that others were seeking and I needed to just share it!

One night in February I sat down to write the introduction and note from the author for Transcription Crash Course. I ended up staying up all night and wrote the majority of the product that night. It was an epiphany kind of moment where things just fell into place.

Now, here I am with my own product out there, getting good feedback again, and helping people. It is a completely amazing feeling that I can barely describe to you. You truly need to do this for yourself if it’s something that you’ve been putting off.

It doesn’t matter what niche you’re in, you have knowledge inside your head. So, what is standing in your way? What do you need help with? What can I do to help you? Ask your questions and let’s find the answers to get you on the way to creating your own product today.

P.S. If you are interested in attending the NAMS (Niche Affiliate Marketing System) Workshop this coming August you can sign up now at the lowest price point that will be available between now and then. It’s definitely worth the investment in your business and yourself, and I’d love to have the opportunity to meet you and give you a hug this summer!
