How do I get a work from home job without paying money to the company offering the jobs? How do I get a work from home typing part-time job without paying any money to the people giving me the job. I’ve followed a lot of people by paying money into their accounts but at the end of the day I always ended up losing because those people or so called companies are untraceable. Please help.

This is a common question that I see when people are getting started online and want to work from home to make money.

I have been working from home full time since 2001. There are many opportunities out there that are not scams. Unfortunately, the internet is littered with misinformation about working from home.

Some ideas include affiliate marketing, blogging, and setting up an e-commerce site. Other service based ideas virtual assistant service, any kind of freelance work, transcription, article writing, bookkeeping, customer service. In the case of service offering you will be a freelancer or independent contractor trading your time for dollars. It’s your own business, but at the same time it’s something different.

If you are looking to work for a company there are plenty of larger corporations that hire home workers for their customer service calls, data entry positions, etc… I spent my first 3 years of working from home doing data entry work for two different companies and made a good wage doing so. I stayed with the first company until they closed their U.S. doors and went completely off shore. It was a huge milestone in my work at home career to work for those companies, and I’m glad that I did so. At the time being an employee was what I wanted.

My best advice is don’t give up. If you’re not sure about something specific that interests you, ask. Find an online community or mastermind group to join, get involved, ask questions, answer questions, seek advice, etc.
