Transcription Qualifications: I have 7 years of transcription experience doing general and legal transcription. I have transcribed a large variety of projects ranging from interviews, videos, podcasts, police and car insurance interviews, ecourses, dictations, etc…. If you have special needs for your transcription project we can discuss those and figure out what will work best for you.

Rates for VA services can be per hour or per project based on your individual needs. Payments are accepted via PayPal or check in the mail if you prefer.

Because Transcription projects are going to vary every time I don’t have a buy now set up for this service. Please contact me to place your transcription order. I can transcribe from just about any type of audio or video file you may have.

Audio File with less than 3 speakers & a cleaned up transcript: (<- this is most likely what you're looking for)
$60 per audio hour ($1 per audio minute to the closest minute) **

Audio File with more than 3 speakers & a cleaned up transcript:
$66 per audio hour ($1.10 per audio minute to the closest minute) **

Video File & cleaned up transcript:
$72 per audio hour ($1.20 per audio minute to the closest minute) **

Video File & cleaned up transcript plus screenshots from the video:
$90 per audio hour ($1.50 per audio minute to the closest minute) **

Transcripts are great for ebook packages, ecourses, tutorials, podcasts, even article writing and blog posts. Record your thoughts and get them transcribed.!

**Additional charges may apply in some instances, these are not extremely common.

*If you have more than one hour of audio and need this “rushed” for a 24 hour turn around time there is a standard $10 fee added for up to 3 hours of audio. Anything 3 to 5 hours with a rush priority will receive an $25 fee. Anything over 5 hours with a rush priority will receive a $50 dollar fee. We can discuss this prior to beginning your project.

*All audios are checked for quality before transcription begins. Unclear audios with a lot of background noise, or very thick accents, or other circumstances that make transcribing more difficult will incur an additional fee of $10 per audio hour, making the rate $70 per audio hour. I will advise you of this before we begin transcribing.

What is a cleaned up transcript? Cleaned up transcript means that it is not verbatim. Stutters and sentence restarts are not included. Basically, it’s written in a readable format. If you need a verbatim transcript I can do that as well, just let me know and I’ll get back to you with a price quote. For most projects such as interviews, webinars, and podcasts, the cleaned up transcript is what you want, because it flows nicely.

What is an audio hour? Audio hour refers to the length of your audio or video. This is how we figure out the rate for your transcript.

What format is my transcript delivered in? I usually send a Word document. If you prefer a .txt or Notepad document, please let me know in advance. If you need help creating a PDF of your transcript afterward please let me know and I can help with that as well. Additional charges may apply for PDFs.

Basic Virtual Assistant Rates:

Per hour ~ $18 per hour – can be retained at a minimum of 5 hours per week

Work is generally received and sent via email, but can also be done via fax, USPS, UPS, FedEx, whatever method of communication best meets your needs for each project.
